Los inversionistas indicaron que luego de haber evaluado múltiples locaciones, la República Dominicana y Cap Cana es el lugar ideal para el lanzamiento de esta icónica marca.
Hazoury, expresó que la experiencia digital de Sport Illustrated Resort y el poder mediático de su revista Sports Illustrated, ícono en la cultura deportiva norteamericana durante más de 65 años, ha dado forma a la narrativa en torno a los deportes y en solo una de sus ediciones anuales alcanza unos 70 millones de consumidores al año, siendo la portada de la indicada revista el bien más codiciado en los medios deportivos y uno de los honores más reconocibles en la cultura estadounidense el cual es el mayor emisor de turistas a la República Dominicana, por lo que beneficiará de manera apreciable al país.
Resaltó que hoy Cap Cana cuenta con más de 3,400 habitaciones hoteleras con miras a multiplicarlas exponencialmente en las próximas dos décadas, aportando así a la generación de más empleos, al crecimiento económico, a sumar marcas reconocidas de lujo que ayuden al posicionamiento del país en el mercado hotelero mundial, a captar turistas con un mayor poder adquisitivo y a construir en República Dominicana el destino hotelero más lujoso y diverso de todo el Caribe.
Instó a que el país continúe con el actual clima favorable a la inversión privada nacional e internacional garantizando la seguridad jurídica, la transparencia y la celeridad de los procesos de inversión, dándole prioridad al 100% de las que provienen del sector privado que generan más riquezas, siendo conscientes de que el turismo es la columna vertebral de la economía dominicana. “Nuestro petróleo” concluyó.
De su lado Chris Schroeder, el CEO de Sports Illustrated Resorts expresó: “Cap Cana fue el lugar elegido por ser uno de los desarrollos relacionados con el deporte, y el estilo de vida activo más singulares del mundo, con campos de golf de clase mundial, centro ecuestre, pesca y paseos en botes; además de actividades de ecoaventura como Scape Park, que ofrece tirolinas y cuatriciclos, así como la nueva Ciudad Deportiva que ofrece un circuito de Mountain bike de primer nivel, canchas deportivas y deportes de raquetas como tenis”.
