La ola de críticas que surgió tras el aumento de los combustibles el pasado viernes, y promesas del Gobierno que no se han concretado, despertaron reacciones de funcionarios públicos, quienes utilizaron sus redes sociales para defender el precio actual de los carburantes. 

El ministro de la Presidencia, Lisandro Macarulla, publicó en su cuenta de Twitter una imagen donde se comparan los precios de la gasolina en varios países, entre ellos República Dominicana.

En el documento se establece que en el territorio dominicano es donde menos se cobra a sus ciudadanos por galón de gasolina, con un total de US$4.911 por galón.

La comparación incluye a Hong Kong, Noruega e Israel, que ocupan las tres primeras posiciones del “ranking”, países que hasta el pasado 31 de enero cotizaban el galón a US$10.117, US$8.487 y US$8.239 respectivamente.

La lista continúa con Italia, cuyos precios rondan por los US$7.638 el galón; Alemania con US$7.280; Francia con US$7.446; España con US$6.553 y Japón con US$5.497.

Por encima de República Dominicana figuran India, con US$5.223 por galón; Jamaica con US$5.092 y Canadá con US$5.033.

El vocero del gobierno, Homero Figueroa, también defendió la actuación del Gobierno ante los precios de los combustibles en el país, destacando que el Gobierno destinó 500 millones de pesos para “evitar las alzas en los precios”.

«Esto es lo que hubiese pasado si el gobierno no destina 500 millones para evitar alzas en los precios de los combustibles. #ComunicacionesDO», se lee en el tuit compartido por el funcionario.

De no destinar este monto, señala Figueroa, la gasolina regular hubiera aumentado RD$23, la gasolina Premium RD$16, el gasoil óptimo RD$24 y el gasoil regular RD$36.

¿Cuánto aumentaron?

El precio de los combustibles por galón desde el 5 al 11 de este mes se sitúa en:

RD$287.60 la gasolina premium, aumentando un total de 4 pesos.
RD$270.50 la gasolina regular, con un aumento de 4 pesos.
RD$236,10 el gasoil óptimo, con una subida de 3 pesos.
RD$217.60 el gasoil regular, aumentando 5 pesos.
RD$147.60 el GLP, aumentando 1 peso.
RD$28.97 el gas natural, manteniendo congelado su coste.

    shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said «You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.» She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
