Al cuarto día de la tragedia, la remoción de escombros, cristales y desechos en la zona del desastre son las principales labores que realizan miembros del Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Comunicaciones (MOPC), apoyados de excavadoras y camiones.
El lugar se encuentra protegido por un estricto perímetro de cintas amarillas y custodiados por agentes de la Policía Nacional y miembros del Ejército, que no permiten el acceso a ningún punto cercano a la zona de desastre para no entorpecer las labores e investigación.
Los cuerpos de bomberos que se mantuvieron durante tres días de intensa labor de sofocar las llamas, ya han abandonado la escena, aunque hay camiones cisterna que se mantienen en la zona.
