SANTO DOMINGO.- El Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) contó con el apoyo de Leonel Fernández para sacar al Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) en las pasadas elecciones y ahora el gobierno de Luis Abinader está pagando ese servicio mediante la cancelación de peledeístas, el nombramiento de gente de la Fuerza del Pueblo y entregándole la segunda mayoría en el Senado a pesar de que solo sacó un solo senador, afirmó el ingeniero Temístocles Montás.

“Porque el PLD no apoyó la candidatura de Leonel Fernández por cuarta vez, este excompañero, por su ambición personal, actuó en contra de los compañeros peledeístas y lo que está ocurriendo ahora con esos compañeros que están siendo cancelados en la administración pública es el resultado de esa actitud de Leonel que lo llevó a apostar por la derrota del PLD”, apuntó el presidente del partido morado.

Entrevistado por Consuelo Despradel en su matutino televisivo, Montás consideró inconcebible que el PRM le otorgue segunda mayoría a Fuerza del Pueblo en el Senado para que tenga representación en el Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura, cuando la realidad es que el grupo de Leonel solo obtuvo el senador de San Cristóbal y fue con los votos del PRM.

“En el único lugar donde ellos encabezaron la alianza para el Senado fue en San Cristóbal y ese senador salió con los votos del PRM”, apuntó Montás, quien agregó “los senadores que el PLD sacó se los regaló el PRM y obviamente como la tarea de Leonel fue trabajar para sacar al PLD del gobierno, el PRM le está pagando con estas decisiones”.

Manifestó que un partido que sacó a nivel del Senado 3.6 por ciento de los votos, “resulta que ahora es la segunda mayoría frente a un partido (PLD) que sacó el 38 por ciento de los votos. Todo eso apunta a que hay contubernio entre la FP y el PRM para tratar de hostilizar al PLD”.

Reconoció que la división del PLD por el irrespeto de Leonel a las decisiones democráticas de la mayoría afectó su desempeño electoral y condujo a ese partido a la derrota.

No obstante, confió en que el PLD recuperará su fuerza y el poder “promovió en la República Dominicana una gran transformación social, que está ahí, aunque hay gente que no lo quieran ver”.

“Durante los gobiernos del PLD este país pasó de ser una sociedad eminentemente pobre a una sociedad eminentemente de clase media. Ese es un cambio que obligaba a un cambio en la manera de hacer política. Algunos compañeros no lo entendieron y en esa clase media el PLD comenzó a sentir rechazo, nos retiraron el apoyo, ese sector de clase que creció con el PLD”, señaló.

Expresó que el PLD está estudiando esta situación “y lo que queremos es que la gente entienda es que el PLD ha entendido ese mensaje y que este congreso está buscando solución a todos eso que pasó y que contribuyó a que nos retiraran el apoyo”.
