La legislación de fomento al desarrollo del cine en la República Dominicana continúa indefendible. Así lo establece un reporte suministrado a Diario Libre por la Dirección General de Cine en el que se establece la aprobación de proyectos cinematográficos nacionales e internacionales cuyos presupuestos generales rondan los tres mil millones de pesos.

Los proyectos nacionales amparados en el artículo 34 de la Ley 108-10 que se están rodando, al momento de este relato son “Elecciones en Pandemia”, una producción de Juan Basanta y Mauricio Vengochea, este último asesor del presidente Luis Abinader en materia de comunicación estratégica. La dirección es del cineasta Basanta.

El joven cineasta y productor de televisión Giancarlo Beras-Goico comenzó la filmación del documental “Las palmeras bailan solas”, trabajo el cual también dirige. Otra producción cinematográfica que se está producción con el artículo 34 de la referida ley es “Granito de Arena” del cineasta Alan Nadal y “Trágico final (Duele decir), una producción de Carlos Salcedo cuya dirección será de Francisco Rodríguez.

En fase de preproducción figuran “El año del Tigre” de José Ramón Alama Núñez,  y “Tigueraje” de José María Cabral y “Pepe, la imaginación en el Tercer cine”, de productor desconocido.

Animación

Seis producciones cinematográficas de animación han sido aprobadas por el Consejo Intersectorial para la Promoción de la Actividad Cinematográfica (CIPAC). En la lista se destaca el nombre del laureado artista dominicano Juan Luis Guerra quien anunció hace tiempo que estaba inmerso en la elaboración de la película animada “Capitán Avispa”, el artista tiene a su cargo la producción y la dirección es responsabilidad de su hijo Jean Gabriel Guerra.

La película animada “Milvio” junta a varios productores para este proyecto cinematográfico. Según detalló la DGCINE, trabajan en su elaboración Jean Guerra, Tuto Guerrero, Ronni Castillo, Erick Gluski y Milvert Pérez Reynoso.

“Mundo de las islas imaginadas”, producción de Pablo Lozano Hernández y dirección de Richard Erick Guiski. Los productores Eddy Manuel Martínez, Denny Esther Feliz y Félix Limardo trabajan la película de animación Butyto. La dirección es de Félix Limardo.

Fernando Antonio Santos es el productor de la cinta animada “Olivia y las nubes” y cuenta con la dirección de Tomás Eduardo Pichardo Espaillat.

El monto total del presupuesto aprobado en el artículo 34 es, hasta la fecha (23-6-2022) asciende a  RD$687,567,395.97.

Internacionales

El documento entregado a DL también abarca los proyectos que se están desarrollando con el incentivo establecido en el artículo 39 de la Ley 108-10.

La lista indica que están en rodaje “Saint X” y en Exatlón 2022, y otras producciones de Hungría, EE.UU, Grecia, Rumania, Turquía, Eslovenia, Eslovaquia y los Balcanes.

El presupuesto aprobado para las producciones extranjeras, por el referido artículo de la ley, muestra que éste seguirá haciendo grandes aportes a la economía. La cifra suministrada por la Dirección General de Cine es de RD$2,224,982,839.00.

No aplicaron a los incentivos

Las producciones Fboy Ilsand Danmark, de Dinamarca e “Isla de las tentaciones España” o “Batalla de las parejas” en su cuarta temporada totalizaron la suma de RD$78,719,722.30.

En el 2021 la DGCine informó que se emitieron 95 permisos únicos de rodaje, para un total de presupuesto de RD$11,407,607,307.73.
